Darkness to Light Adult Prevention Training
As experts for child and family well-being in our community, offering this adult-focused prevention training helps increase our impact by empowering the safe adults in our community to understand and seek ways to protect children from abuse. Using Darkness to Light’s Stewards of Children prevention training, Safe and Sound offers an evidence informed training using real people and real stories to show how to protect children from sexual abuse. Stewards of Children gives adults the tools they need to dramatically reduce the opportunity for child sexual abuse to occur. Having a network of informed adults is the best way to cast a safety net over our community.

Safe & Sound Child Advocacy Center has achieved Partner in Prevention status, a designation awarded by the nonprofit Darkness to Light to organizations which take extra steps to protect the children they serve by training staff to understand the issue of child sexual abuse, identify unsafe situations and practices, and react responsibly in the best interest of the children they serve.
